K-Dogs in Mercato Metropolitano in London’s Elephant & Castle

Fast food Korean hot dog concept K-Dog will be introducing its Halal menu to an open-air street food market place in south east London this weekend (credit Zaman Siddiqui).

Opening at Mercato Metropolitano’s original site in Elephant and Castle, the brand will be serving its version of Korean hot dogs, which have been hyped all over social media, this Saturday 18th.

Their build-your-own menu involves firstly choosing a filling from Turkey Sausage, Mozzarella Cheese, Veggie Sausage, or a 50/50 Sausage with Mozzarella Cheese.

This is followed by a choice of K-Dog – Classic, French Fries, Ramen, Hot Cheetos, Crispy Crunch, Crunchy Pickle, and Squiddy – followed by three topping from a selection of 10.

While K-Dog already has sites in Camden Market and Pop Brixton, Mercato Metropolitano, which opened in 2016, says it is “London’s First Sustainable Community Market”, and boasts “over 40 independent trading partners”.
