Free tea in Wales tomorrow when Karak Chaii debuts in Cardiff
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalKarak Chaii is about to add a massive tea leaf to its brewing pot this Saturday when it makes it big Welsh debut.
Launching on City Road in Cardiff, this will be the brand’s fifth store with free ‘chaii’ available all day when doors open at 2pm.
With a seating capacity of 40, the Indian street food restaurant has sites in Birmingham’s Stratford Road, Sparkhill, and Soho Road, as well as Luton’s Bury Park, and Slough.
This latest opening continues the Halal restaurant trend that revolves around South Asian brewed tea as chronicled in FtLion’s article: Let the chaii wala chai wars begin.
Karak Chaii’s menu consists of a trio of All-Day Desi Breakfasts; four types of Rotis; a good number of street food items, such as, the Bombay Sandwich, Chilli Paneer, and Keema Mutter & Masala Chips; as well as a variety of Desserts.
