Karak Chaii announces plans to open 68 sites in next two years
After having made their big debut in Wales last month, Karak Chaii has announced its aim of opening 68 sites over the next two years.
The Indian tea brand has published a list of 22 sites across the country – 12 of which will be in London alone – it intends to open in 2022 alone.
Having launched only its seventh branch in London Hounslow last week, the restaurant said: “Cardiff, High Wycombe and Hounslow are now open and ready to welcome you to their store!”
With Birmingham being a possible site for its first Karak Chaii drive-thru café, the other places include: Birmingham’s Hodge Hill, Oxford, Coventry, Reading, Southampton, Milton Keynes, and Leicester’s London Road and Melton Road.
In London it will be the following areas: Acton, Ealing, Neasden, Norbury/ Croydon, Green Street, Harrow, South Harrow, Ilford, Southall, Tooting, Wembley, and Whitechapel.
This latest announcement continues the flourishing Halal restaurant trend of South Asian brewed tea as chronicled in FtLion’s article: Let the chaii wala chai wars begin.
While Karak Chaii’s menu also offers a selection of Indian street food items, as well as desi breakfasts, the brand revealed: “Keep post notifications on as we’ll be announcing the next 3 sites very soon.”
