Kilikya’s New Turkish Branch to open on Regent’s Canal

With its first restaurant going strong since 2011 in the picturesque setting of St. Katherine Docks, Kilikya’s is scheduled for the grand opening of its second branch next week on the 24th from 6.30 pm.

Located in Mile End by the equally scenic setting of Regent’s Canal, and having dropped the apostrophe ‘s’ from its original title, Kilikya has an exclusive 50% off tasting session taking place today.

Offering pretty much the same exquisite Turkish food we had the pleasure of reviewing at the Docks (see review here), this spaciously laid out restaurant is designed to allow as much of the natural light to permeate its interior as it does a view of the narrowboats and barges docked across the way.

There’s even an impressive wooden patio established against the bank of said canal, with large affixed parasols, for the option of outdoor seating.

The menu offers the familiar hot and cold mezes, a number of salads, and seven of what it calls “Village” dishes that range from: Lamb or Chicken Beyti Kebab; Moussakka; a Lamb Shank; as well as a Spaghetti Meatball.

Of course, not forgetting the obvious selection of grills – of which there’s 10 types – then these include: sea bass or salmon, chicken or lamb shish, adana kebab, and the mixed variety.

And if the Homemade Baklava is anything akin to the one we had at the Docks, then you’ll be in for a treat.
