Kunafa Tea to serve ‘king of Arabic sweets’ in Bradford today
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalA home business that specialises in making ‘the king of Arabic sweets’ has proved so popular that it will be launching not just its first permanent eatery but probably the UK’s first that’s dedicated to kunafa.
Kunafa Tea cafĂ© and restaurant will be openings its doors later this evening at 5pm on Bradford’s Thornton Road with a full menu that includes grills, shawerma, falafel and baklawa too.
For those who don’t know, a Kunafa is a very popular Middle Eastern dessert served hot and is made up of a sugar-soaked pastry, with melted-cheese or soft-cheese filling, that’s baked with butter until crisp.
“We’ve been working really hard on getting our shop ready and making it look just right for our wonderful customers,” Kunafa Tea said on Instagram.
The 38-cover eatery will be offering a variety of kunafas with a large sharing ‘Original’ of melted cheese with pistachio topping, or the ‘Creamy’ with soft cheese, and a milk and white chocolate topping – all of which can be had as a medium 8″ or large 13″ size.
“We are unbelievably excited to meet you guys face to face and serve you some amazing food,” the cafĂ© added.
