La’De Kitchen opens in Hereford & confirms Halal status
HALAL STATUS Halal food menu (pork on pizza & pides; prepped & cooked separately) • Alcohol & pork servedMediterranean La’De Kitchen brings its Turkish, Greek and Italian cuisine to Hereford in the West Midlands.
Having taken over from the former PizzaExpress site on Broad Street, this is the family-owned restaurant’s sixth restaurant.
With venues in Muswell Hill, Pangbourne, Woodley, Newbury and Camberely, La’De Kitchen has told FtLion that the menu is predominantly Halal.
But while pork is used as an ingredient for their Anatolian Pizzas and Pides, these are said to be prepped and oven-baked entirely separately from the other dishes (alcohol is also served on site).
La’De Kitchen’s menu uses “fresh and local seasonal ingredients” with dishes ranging from mezes and kebabs, to seafood “specially selected from Billingsgate”, with brewed Turkish tea available with their sutlac rice pudding and baklava desserts.
