Legends Cafe continues historic building’s legacy in Batley

The legacy of a landmark Art Deco-style building which had previously operated for 27 years is now being continued as a Halal cafe.
The premises in Batley’s famous Golden Mile has been refurbished and launched by brothers Mohammed Zahoor and Mohammed Zafoor as Legends Cafe on Bradford Road.
The 100-cover establishment is not just offering an British-inspired menu that serves Sunday roast dinners, a variety of breakfasts, homemade burgers, kebabs, desserts and puddings, as well as a Legends steak, but also has a prayer room.
Mr Zahoor reportedly said: “We came and had a good look around the area and know there are a lot of places to dine out, but we realised there was a lack of traditional British food, so we have created a menu which is tasty, home-cooked food with a twist.”
