Lemongrass opens in Walton-on-Thames’ Heart Shopping Centre
HALAL STATUS Fully Halal food menu • Alcohol servedThai restaurant chain Lemongrass opened its 12th restaurant yesterday in Surrey’s Walton-on-Thames.
Located in The Heart Shopping Centre, the brand is known for offering a wide variety of Thai dishes from fine dining to tapas.
Owner, Sahil, confirmed with FtLion that in addition to “no pork entering the premises, and all our meats and food are Halal”, while alcohol is served, “no alcohol [is] in any of the foods [sic]”.
Lemongrass is known for offering “innovative yet classic cuisine of the highest calibre using the very finest ingredients sourced from the best suppliers both locally and abroad”.
Opening daily between 12pm and 10pm seven days a week, diners can choose from chicken, beef, lamb, duck, seafood, noodles, rice and vegetarian dishes.
Mark Middleton, Centre Manager at The Heart, said: “We are incredibly excited to welcome Lemongrass to The Heart. It’s a fantastic offer and will complement the restaurants that we already have.”
Lemongrass’ other sites are Brentwood, Burgess Hill, Chichester, Cranleigh, Crawley, Esher, Horsham, Hove, Lewes, Petersfield and Rustington.
