Lloyd Park Market’s new Street Food Sunday in Walthamstow
Lloyd Park Market in north east London’s Walthamstow is a relatively new addition to the food market scene, but one which offers a lively street food experience.
Located in the grounds of Lloyd Park opposite the iconic grade-2 listed William Morris Gallery museum, the market on Forest Road has been operating every weekend since June 2019.
While a farmers market takes place on the Saturday, it’s the new addition of Street Food Sunday, with a number of fully Halal stalls, that excites us.
This is especially since most of the following businesses are seasoned street food traders that have or continue to operate at Kerb West India Quay and other well known locations across the capital.

Bringing hot kati rolls – flaky paratha flatbread cooked in ghee – from the streets of Kolkata, India to London, is Kolkati.

Yes, all 100% Halal!
“Authentic home recipes” from the Pakistani parents of the owners of this vendor is what defines Baba Dhaba’s food. There’s kebab burgers, lamb seekh kebab or chicken thighs, and even biryani boxes among other things.

Both beef and chicken are Halal. We don’t do pork or non-Halal food.
Yaay Yaay, where ‘yaay’ means grandmother in Thai, do Thai food, including what’s known as Ka Prow Chicken, which is stir-fried chicken; a chicken thigh in red curry they call Pa Nang Chicken, and more. What’s more, all their dishes are served with riceberry rice and fried egg.

There is no pork or alcohol in our good, and our meat is Halal.
Eat Lah has been serving Malaysian cuisine, specifically Malay rice dish Nasi Kerabu, on the streets of London since 2019. They even do a range of homemade sauces and pastes available for purchase on their website.
