London Muslim Lifestyle Show kicks off this weekend
A Halal food extravaganza is set to attract tens of thousands of visitors to a huge festival at the Olympia London this weekend.
After a successful debut in 2016, the London Muslim Lifestyle Show (LMLS) will again gather Muslim businesses from around the globe to help boost a post-Brexit British economy.
“Post Brexit UK needs to trade with non-European territories, a majority of which are Muslim and have high barrier to entry market. By operating halal protocols, we aim to be the conduit between UK and the emerging Halal market by using this event as a platform and vehicle,” said Show Organiser, Waleed Jahangir.
With the Islamica 500 event hosting some of the leading Muslim industry influencers from around the world, and with over 150 pop-up shops, a Halal Food Court, and so much more, organisers will be hoping to top last year’s 19,000 attendees who spent in excess of £500K.
This year’s show will also see the return of two TV-star chefs hosting the Tariq Halal Cookery Theatre.
Popular Masterchef winner, Shelina Permalloo, and Great British Bake Off contestant, Ali Imdad, will be showing off their culinary skills in live cookery demos throughout the two days.
There will also be Halal ‘eat-offs’, the ‘Great British Halal Chef’ cooking up a storm in the kitchen, and how to make 15-minute Halal meals.
And for the children there will be ‘Cooking For Your Children’ demonstration shows that will provide solutions in satisfying even the fussiest of young eaters and all within the constraints of a busy family life.
“This is a massive community with a global reach and economic influence, and we bring it together at Olympia for a two day festival,” said Mr Jahangir.
“It’s a brilliant family day out, and one which combines the very best of Halal business and lifestyle.”
The London Muslim Lifestyle Show 2017 takes place this weekend (15th-16th April) at Olympia London, Hammersmith Rd, London W14 8UX.
