Manjaros bring the big, bold & brash to Bradford
SPONSORED CONTENT HALAL STATUS Fully HalalHow many Halal restaurant brands can boast having served boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr and heavyweight champ Tyson Fury; England footballer Paul Gascoigne; and multi-Michelin chef Gordon Ramsay, to name but four?
Manjaros have an impressive résumé when it comes to attracting such big names from across the globe, be they world champion boxers, famous celebs, footballers, comedians, musicians, or a former world’s strongest man.
With innovative Afro-Caribbean cuisine that’s every bit as bold and compelling as the places that have inspired the menu, there’s a reason why they’re a favourite hotspot.
And their 60 seater restaurant in Bradford’s Great Horton Road is just a small glimpse of the Manjaros collective, which comprises of 14 venues across England, as well as sites in the capital.
With limited on-site parking, including a further 30 spaces available in their huge carpark towards the back, this restaurant’s colourfully vibrant interior, with comfortable boothed-seating to boot, sets the mood for celebration even before the food arrives.
When it comes to their cuisine, then one thing’s for certain: Manjaros do not believe in banality. They are here to create an impression and an impression is what they deliver.
Big, bold & brash – Manjaros don’t do bland & banal
Driven by the robust blend of African and Caribbean flavours, let’s begin with the Hot Shot Chicken Parmesan – a bold, attractive and deliciously good dish which epitomises the brand’s confident bravado – as an example of just one of their best-sellers.
While it won’t take you long to wolf down an uber-crispy, bread-crumbed chicken breast fillet topped with a creamy bechamel sauce and so much more, you might want to consider one of their pasta dishes, especially the scumptiously hearty Chicken Rasta Pasta.
Cooked in Manjaros’ special sauce, with plenty of peppers, onions, mushrooms, and garlic to boot, this house special penne pasta is accompanied by plenty of chicken chunks, and served with crunchy seasoned garlic bread.
But if there’s one dish that is required trying, then it has to be their Creamy Caribbean King Prawns, which captures the sweet flavour of the islands it originates from, with the tender crustaceans sauteed in chilli garlic and lemon butter, and paired with a bowl of piping hot pilau rice.
If rice is your thing though, then it has to be the Lamb Rasta Rice, with diced segments of soft lamb, potatoes, garlic, onions, and peppers, all pan-cooked with long-grained rice to impart some smoky goodness, and partnered with a side of refreshing yoghurt.
Manjaros’ jerk chicken comes in four authentic seasonings: original, sizzler, mango & lime, BBQ. Flame-grilled to a crispy finish on natural charcoal, this signature dish really is taken to that ‘Supreme’ level.
In the end, they have an astounding range to choose from, such as their selection of pizzas and burgers, all of which can also be delivered freshly-made to order via Manjaros’ partners Uber Eats and Just Eat.
