Masterchef’s Saliha & Steve host supper club tomorrow

Masterchef champion Saliha Mahmood-Ahmed and fellow finalist Steve Kietly have joined forces to host a supper club tomorrow.

The duo have created a 6-course tasting menu for £6o which will showcase “Steve’s skilful modern execution with Saliha’s family recipes”.

The ‘Technique & Tradition’ event will be hosted at The Barge House, a waterside venue in East London, with the following dishes (all meat being Halal) served promptly at 7pm:

• Chaat – Yoghurt Espuma | Green Chutney
• Malai Prawn – Citrus | Coriander
• Roast Cauliflower – Coconut | Saffron
• Duck – Tamarind | Date
• Sherbet – Black Grape | Ginger
• Carrot – Condensed Milk | Walnut

Saliha posted on Instagram: “Steve Kielty @steve_kielty and I are joining forces for an evening of exceptional cookery. He is technique and I am tradition – if you have watched MasterChef you will know that makes sense!”

At the time of publication, there were still a few tickets available for the supper club.

This is not the first time though that the 13th amateur Masterchef winner has been involved in such a high profile collaboration.

Only last month, she parterned with double Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar to serve up a mouth-watering tasting menu.

While last year, the NHS doctor joined renowned Indian restaurant Talli Joe’s Executive Chef Sameer Taneja to create a sharing feast in celebration of the 70th anniversary of India’s and Pakistan’s Independence day.
