A new fully Halal Italian restaurant will be shaking things up on Birmingham’s Coventry Road with fresh handmade pasta and customisable pizzas available as early as 5am.
Family-owned Mio Amico in Small Heath is a colourful affair too with plenty of indoor seating for 40 guests as well as an outdoor dining area for an additional 20 more.
Having replaced Moroccan eatery Amico Cafe, this new place has also featured in the local paper with 21-year-old entrepreneur Towfiq Sharif the young man behind the business.
With the help of his family, Towfiq has reportedly hired an Italian chef with 25 year’s experience, who will manage the kitchen with handmade authentic pasta at the forefront of the menu.
With juices made fresh to order and “the finest original teas and coffees” also available, the restaurant offers cakes too for those with a sweet tooth.
“I genuinely believe in what we offer. Nothing leaves the restaurant or gets served without me being 100% satisfied in its quality,” Towfiq told Birmingham news.
