Owner of Rasa Sayang in London’s Chinatown has brought her Birmingham brand Mrs Chew’s Chinese Kitchen to the capital city.

Singaporean restaurateur Ellen Chew, who introduced her Halal restaurant in Grand Central station last year, has opened on the balcony of Westfield in Shepherd’s Bush.
Serving “unpretentious and authentic Chinese food that’s prepared from scratch”, Mrs Chew’s menu includes Canton roast duck, spring onion noodles with crispy aromatic tofu, and spicy handmade Dan Dan noodles.
There’s also a range of dim sum including siu man, which is open-faced steamed chicken and prawn dumplings, Golden Lava salted egg buns, among others.
Chew said: “There is such variety and depth to Chinese food, so with Mrs Chew’s we are giving people the ‘highlights’ and building upon my 15 years running restaurants in London, to deliver good quality Halal food, in a fast and efficient environment.”
