Nashtawala introduces Tandoori Chai to Leicester today

Ever had tandoori chai? Well the people of Leicester will soon be experiencing something quite unique on Maidstone Road.
Nashtawala is essentially a fully Halal takeaway which offers a fairly extensive Anglo-Indian menu for a place that only offers seating for 20.
With the Urdu and Hindi word ‘nashta’ translating as breakfast, the cafe offers “full english or Indian breakfast all day every day”.
More impressively, Nashtawala is seeking to offer the additional service of serving “weekend special breakfast in bed” with free delivery on all orders over £10 within a 3-mile radius.
As part of its desi dishes, you can enjoy chicken or keema pav, masala omelette, bheja fry, and your traditional staple of chana puri.
There’s also a large selection of Cobs & Rolls; Sandwiches, that includes a number of spicy Indian versions; Pastries, such as tandoori chicken, chilli chicken or lamb keema; Savouries; Italian Bread Rolls; Jacket Potatoes; and Wraps.
According to the owner, he doesn’t know of anyone that offers tandoori chai, which we think is a very good reason to visit.
