Having reported in May that Dubai-born chain of restaurants Operation: Falafel will be making its UK debut this summer, we now have a launch date and location.
Operating on the concept of the ‘Revival & Survival’ of Arabic cuisine, the brand’s grand opening will be Wednesday 14 September in London’s Camden Town.
Early customers will get to enjoy a free meal from 12-2pm when the 18-cover restaurant officially opens its doors on Chalk Farm Road.
With the concept built on sharing the original taste and tradition of real Middle Eastern street food, the menu will balance old-street flavours with 21st century trends.
It will feature modern takes on classics such as Kofta Meatballs, Veggie, Chicken or Beef Shawerma Pitas, as well as a selection of Bowls alongside “must-try” Stuffed Falafel with sumac and tahini, with small treats in the form of Rice Pudding and Baklava.
Currently the restaurant chain has sites across the Middle East – several in the UAE and Saudi Arabia – including a presence in the US and France.
