Afternoon tea at The Orangery by Sapna in London Stockley Park
SPONSORED CONTENT HALAL STATUS Fully HalalHalal afternoon teas have certainly gained in popularity of the years with a number of restaurants and luxury hotels catering for this quintessential British custom.
But of all the afternoon teas currently being served, there’s one – newly introduced only last week by an established Indian catering company – that’s truly unique.
Sapna Caterers have launched a desi-inspired afternoon tea at their restaurant The Orangery that’s located amidst the lush, green surroundings of Stockley Park Golf Course in Hayes, west London.
Their menu has been carefully curated to deliver all the hallmarks of a traditional afternoon tea, but with a twist that elevates things to a whole new level.
This ‘Afternoon Tea Experience’ can either be enjoyed within the confines of a strikingly elegant interior, or outdoors on their special terrace area, which provides panoramic views of a beautifully manicured park.

Available for one person for £30 or two for £55 via pre-booking only, The Orangery by Sapna’s ‘Afternoon Tea Experience’ is served between 12.30pm and 5.00pm every Tuesday to Friday, with convenient on-site parking for all customers.
What makes theirs so excitingly unique, however, is not just the exotic twist of Indian flavours, but also the attention to detail, such as the ribbon-wrapped menu box received by all diners, which includes an introductory welcome plaque and plenty of decorative white petals.
The triple-tiered afternoon tea, which can be enjoyed with either English Earl Grey or karak chai, is presented with a bone china tea set that immediately sets the tone.
It also comes with the following extended menu from which diners, looking for more, can choose upto three items for £5.99: Vegetable Samosa, Cocktail Spring Rolls, Pizza Samosa, Paneer Parcel, Pani Puri, Papri Chaat, Paneer Shashlik, Hara Bhara Kebab, Aloo Tikki, Shami Kebab, Tempura Prawn, Sesame Chicken, and Amritsari Fish.
Starting from the bottom-up, there’s a trio of sandwiches with a conventional cucumber and soft cheese filling, a spiced potato filling, and a smoothly-textured buttery chicken spread, as well as a deliciously good lamb slider containing a lightly spiced meat patty with mayo and cheese.
The middle-tier comes complete with freshly baked choice of dainty plain and raisin scones that are served with marmalade and strawberry jam, and plenty of creamy clotted cream to satisfy.
As for the top-tier, then it rounds off a memorable meal, with a choice of pastries comprising of Cheesecake, Halwa Tartlet, Chocolate Eclairs, and Chocolate Mousse.
As with all the elements, this selection of desserts was exquisitely executed, with the sweetness carefully measured to ensure that each one was as good as the rest.
Sapna Caterers have brought their experience to bear on a restaurant that delivers the precision and quality one would expect of a leading Indian caterer.
This ‘Afternoon Tea Experience’ is just a small sample, however, of a versatile fully Halal menu, with a wide range of bold and vibrant dishes from that part of the world.
In short, The Orangery by Sapna have invested considerable effort in bringing the authentic taste of South Asian fusion cuisine to the capital.
