‘Halal-friendly’ Pasta Remoli to open in Ealing this Friday
HALAL STATUS Halal-friendly (dishes prepped & cooked separately) • Alcohol served & used as ingredient in some dishes
The build-your-own Italian restaurant brand Pasta Remoli will be launching its third branch this week.
Described by chef and founder, Simone Remoli, as “the best fresh homemade pasta in the area” and opening this Friday, this particular venue in west London offers outdoor dining at the new Ealing boulevard in Dicken’s Yard.
Although pork and alcohol will be served on the menu, the latter also being used as an ingredient in some dishes, management has clarified: “We definitely use different pans to avoid contamination.”
The restaurant also confirmed: “We do buy Halal meat in all our branches,” before further clarifying that while “we are not [a] certified Halal restaurant… we do try to be [as] Halal-friendly as possible”.
Pasta Remoli’s concept is simple enough: 1) choose your pasta, 2) choose a sauce, 3) and add cheese.
And given his background in Michelin-star dining, Simone’s menu includes a range of Roman sauces, with the Ealing branch offering all of Pasta Remoli favourites including his Signature Seafood Spaghetti, or Oxtail Agnalotti, as well as daily specials and a selection of antipasti and desserts.
His other two locations can be found at Finsbury Park, North London, and Westfield Stratford, in East London.
