Fully Halal Popeyes accelerates UK rollout with six more sites
US international franchise Popeyes Louisiana Chicken has announced the locations of a further six venues as part of its national growth plans.
With sites confirmed in Nottingham, Gateshead, Oxford, Reading, Brighton, and London’s Ealing, the brand is already established in Stratford, Bermondsey, Maida Vale, Whitechapel and more.
Having this year celebrated its 50th anniversary since being founded in New Orleans in 1972, the fully Halal franchise opened a new sit-down restaurant in Chelmsford this month and is to open another in Romford next month.
In fact, of the 3,600 international restaurants, Popeyes Stratford is now its highest-performing having only opened less than 6-months ago.
FtLion has been informed that Popeyes’ breakfast menu is not Halal, with a representative clarifying: “We don’t serve chicken at breakfast, but our chicken served with our daytime menu remains Halal.”
