Popeyes launches drive-thru in West Yorkshire’s Wakefield

The launch of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen’s drive-thru in Wakefield yesterday marks the brand’s 19th opening this year.
Located at Snowhill Retail Park, this is their 58th site in the UK overall and is part of plans for launching 30 new locations this year.
With 75 seats indoors and 16 outside, Popeyes reportedly says it is set to open a further West Yorkshire drive-thru in Gildersome sometime soon.
While all UK branches serve a fully Halal food menu, FtLion has been informed that Popeyes’ breakfast menu is not Halal, with a representative clarifying: “We don’t serve chicken at breakfast, but our chicken served with our daytime menu remains Halal.”
Their website states: “Sourcing UK Sourced, Red Tractor chicken,” before adding: “Everyone is welcome at our table. All of our chicken is Halal and we have certification from the Halal Monitoring Board.”
