Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen are celebrating the launch of their new branch in south east London today with free food and giveaways.
Located on Powis Street in Woolwich, free chicken sandwiches are up for grabs for an entire year to the first three people in the queue as well as to the first 25 on the day alongside free merch.
This is the American fried chicken brand’s 20th branch in all, with all of its UK venues offering a fully Halal food menu aside from the breakfast menu.
FtLion has been informed that Popeyes’ breakfast menu is not Halal, with a representative clarifying: “We don’t serve chicken at breakfast, but our chicken served with our daytime menu remains Halal.”
Otherwise, their website states: “Sourcing UK Sourced, Red Tractor chicken,” before adding: “Everyone is welcome at our table. All of our chicken is Halal and we have certification from the Halal Monitoring Board.”
