‘Dine 4 Palestine’ at these restaurants fundraising for Gaza
A number of Halal restaurants across the UK will be generously donating their proceeds these next few weeks to help ease the suffering of the people of Palestine.
This initiative is in response to thousands of Palestinians in Gaza having been killed through an indiscriminate bombing campaign carried out by, what the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa recently dubbed, the “apartheid state” of Israel.
Established restaurant brand Steakout in south London’s Tooting will be running a ‘Dine 4 Palestine’ today on 116 Upper Tooting Road.
The steakhouse told FtLion that “all the people who come in to dine there full bill will be going to Palestine. We will also be having a bake sale at the front where all profits again go to Palestine”.
Bison Steakhouse in Leeds will not only be giving all proceeds made today at both its locations – 151 Dewsbury Road and 761 Leeds Road – to local charity The Akhirah Team, but is also providing a platform for local bakers to contribute to the cause.
On Friday 20th, Burger Bros in east London’s 123 Roman Road, who also run Bake Bros, will be donating all their proceeds made from 6pm till 1.30am, which includes orders made via Uber Eats.
Also in east London, Hiba Express will be involved in a ‘Come Dine For Palestine’ emergency fundraising dinner in association with MAP (Medical Aid for Palestine) on Sunday 12 November from 5-10pm (free parking available).
While tickets will be £35 per person and £300 for a table of ten (call 07391542959 for more details), the event is to be held at Eternity Hall on 135 Wadham Road and include a 3-course meal, canape drinks reception, raffle and auction, guest speakers, as well as stalls and exhibitions.
Where to eat in Birmingham from Saturday 21st…
Mowchi on 363 Ladypool Road will be holding a fundraising stall this Saturday 21st from 2pm until 8pm where they will be selling a variety of goods and £1 frozen yogurt with all proceeds going “directly” to charity One Nation’s Palestine appeal.
Rocka Burger on 201 Ladypool Road, while quoting Israeli politician Michael Ben Ari: “The goal of the operation is to send Gaza back to the Middle Ages, only then will Israel be calm for the next 40 years,” will be contributing 100% of its profits to Salam charity’s emergency appeal on Tuesday 24th.
Burger & Flame on 319 Aston Lane will be dontaing 50% of proceeds made on all instore orders from 12pm until 10pm to charity Ummah Welfare Trust this coming Monday and Tuesday (23rd-24th October).
