Ruby’s (Pakistani) – Leyton
Permanently Closed
When in East London, do what the E. Londoners do and eat at the many curry houses available.
But, if you have to choose one, then Ruby’s would be our recommendation.
These scrumptious long kebabs are a must.
The chicken, however, was a complete let down; dry and looking awful.
The chicken curry was the show stopper!
It’s as good as it gets (sorry mum, but that’s the Gospel truth).
Not exactly a looker, but tasty nonetheless.
Shame they couldn’t make it fluffy a la the real Pakistani way. These were mere cheap imitations.
Yes, easy to make, but, nevertheless, faultless!

Summary
Overall, much better than Spice Village.
Certainly be back here again some time, God-willing, especially to try some other dishes like the biryani and lamb curry. For now, this is the best we've had in God knows how long.
Oh, and they also have Ambala sweets in the shop itself?!

Kebabs look nice. The rest has to much oil in them. This place can give you a heart attack.
