Turkish restaurant Saray in Cardiff appear to be so popular that they’ve opened an express eatery only a few doors down from their main restaurant.

Located on City Road and only a five minute drive from the Cardiff university, while this new place does have plenty of seating, it’s meant “for those who enjoy our delicious food at home”.

Having launched in 2015, Saray is a fully Halal Turkish restaurant which goes by the motto: “Expect the Best,” and specialises in grilled food.

As with all Turkish restaurants they offer traditional cold and hot starters, with main courses comprising of grilled shish, kebabs, ribs, chops and chicken.

Additionally, they do half-a-dozen types of cassaroles, as well as sharing platters, yoghurt-based dishes, and impressively large Turkish pizzas called pides.

For desserts, they serve kunefe and kadayif, which when done well are worth the price of admittion, alongside, of course, baklwava.

Saray Express has setup a website with a new online ordering system where you can grab 10% off all online orders above £12 as well as booking a table between 12pm to 4pm on weekdays.
