Edinburgh’s Scran Bistro confirm Halal status and new location

Good news from Scran Bistro in Scotland’s capital! Not only have they announced the locations of two new sites, but also confirmed their Halal standing.
“Our chicken burgers and all our wraps are Halal,” the restaurant said while adding that said items are prepped and cooked separately to avoid cross-contamination.
With the restaurants soon to open in Edinburgh’s city centre, the cafe further confirmed: “One of them will have the exact menu, and the other will have a slightly different, but, if anything, more Halal items.”
While their first, and currently only, branch is located in North Bridge Arcade, the new venues are planned to open this year at 36 North Bridge and 51-52 George IV Bridge, respectively.
Scran Bistro, which opened back in 2018, are known for serving sweet treats, teas, cakes and coffees, as well as hearty portions of loaded fries, burgers and filled wraps.
The eatery’s team said on Instagram: “Every one of us at Scran has been working extremely hard behind the scenes and trying to keep the business running while trying to improve and move forward. We are SO happy to let you guys know Scran will be opening another 2 branches this year!!!”
Going on to thank customers for their support, they added: “Every single person that has been in, liked our posts, recommended us to their family/friends and colleagues.
“You guys have been unreal and if it wasn’t for you all, none of this would’ve been possible. We are here for you when you are out on a walk, chilling at home or just want a wee chat.”
