Shakedown second dessert store in Manchester to serve burgers

Back in November of last year, we reviewed wee little dessert parlour Shakedown which, despite us describing it as “Manchester’s smallest”, was so good that we rated it 4/5 ROARS.
Well they’re launching their second restaurant today but with one marked difference from its first – they’re offering dining options alongside those scrumptious desserts.
Shakedown v2.0 is located only a 5-min walk from its sister takeout joint on Wilmslow Road with everything being made “made daily and fresh”.
This time they have a trio of burgers, trio of fries, and a trio of sides to choose from, with the burgers being:
- Beefed Up – Double Beef Patty, Melted Cheese & Dress Me Sauce.
- Stack Me – Beef Patty, Fried Chicken Fillet, Cheese & Dress Me Sauce.
- American Fried – Battered Chicken Fillet, Lettuce, Cheese Sauce.
They are also encouraging orders online via their new website, promising not just savings of “up to 30% by ordering direct through us”, but that they “will be giving away shakedown vouchers very soon”.
