Halal restaurant eating guide in Shepherd’s Bush, London
SPONSORED CONTENTThe most obvious place that comes to mind when speaking of places to dine at in Shepherd’s Bush, is Europe’s largest shopping complex, Westfield London.
And while it certainly offers an impressive range of quality Halal restaurants to choose from (see our Halal food guide in Westfield London), what it isn’t, especially when compared to the options available down the road, is cheap!
In comparison, not only is the sheer diversity of eateries located down Uxbridge Road, past its historic street market, and along the Green towards Shepherd’s Bush station, far more impressive, with 14 types of cuisines, but more affordable too.
Okay so there’s a number of low-key takeaways scattered about the place; but in between, what we found were quality burger joints, Oriental food spots, Middle Eastern dining places, as well as a few curry houses. And we’ve done the hard work of putting together a comprehensive guide below.
If you’re looking for the exotic flavours of Lebanese and Syrian cuisine in and around Shepherd’s Bush, look no further than Ayam Zaman.
This large and spacious restaurant is located in the heart of the district’s neighbourhood, and designed to offer diners a taste of the rich culture and colourful vibrancy of Middle Eastern culture.
With reservations conveniently made directly via their website, Ayam Zaman offer both traditional dishes and those with a modern twist, including Muhammara, Hummus Beiruty and the famous Moroccan chicken couscous.
More impressively, they serve an array family oriented dishes, along with a selection of perfectly chargrilled meats. For dessert, there’s the highly sought after French-Middle Eastern fusion Rhubarb, Pistachio and Orange Blossom Frangipane Tart with Rhubarb Syrup, as well as the classic Om Ali, Kanafeh, Mohalabiah and, of course, the best Baklava you can have.
Breakfast buffet during the weekend anyone?
If you’re looking for an elaborate breakfast, then be sure to visit them during the weekend from 10am till 12.30pm for an incredible range of traditional dishes.
Ayam Zaman also offers a loyalty points scheme for online orders, with a 5-point welcome gift on your first order. Points can then be redeemed off orders in discounts of 10%, 15% and 20%, respectively (minimum order: £30).
Additionally, Ayam Zaman is known for delivering exceptional catering services too, with experience that matches an ideal blend of dishes to suit any occasion.
Next door to the mini-supermarket also owned by them, is the brand’s bakery, which of course means that Ayam Zaman serve the freshest bread possible. Damascene Bakery offers “traditional authentic pastries”, and offers seating therein.
