Sidi Maarouf (Moroccan) – Edgware Road
You wouldn’t be called a fool if you decided to walk by this place coz despite claims of it being an authentic Moroccan cuisine, Sidi Maarouf doesn’t come close to the mind-blowing cuisine one would experience when visiting Morocco.
Although this place looks the part with its fine decor, it’s not only overpriced, but also not the most halal environment given the alcohol bar at the far end.
The fact is that you’ll get bland food and cheap naan bread.
The Tagine Kafta was spiceless with ultra firm meatballs.

Batata Sidi Maarouf – Cubes of potatoes sautéed with garlic, coriander, cumin, sweet and chilli pepper £5.95
£6 for this?! Nice, but nothing special.
- YES/ NO
- CHILD SEATING

And while the drinks were good (can't remember what we got; sorry), the overall experience was definitely not Moroccan.

This place is overrated, far better places to go to on the same road.

I like this place, what’s up with the bad review, far to critical.
