Indian & Bengali curry house Silsila opens in Leicester

A new Indian eatery has opened in place of a much-loved restaurant which permanently closed after 27 years of serving its locals in Leicester.
Namaste has been replaced by a 52-cover new curry house Silsila on Hinckley Road which serves fully Halal home-style Indian and Bangladeshi food, although a BYOB policy is allowed.
Opened by the Ahmed family, the restaurant has a sister-site by the same name in Yorkshire which has been running since 2015.
With their menu created by chef Ruhel Ahmed, who boasts 20 year’s of experience in the industry, look out for dishes such as their signature dishes of Mouniya Donpuri, a chicken dish flavoured with lime cordial; Murgh Shahi Korma, which is a French corn-fed chicken breast in a mild cashew nut and yoghurt sauce.
Silsila’s chef’s specialities include the Bengali dish Shahi Shashlik Bhuna Masala, the Hinckley Achari, the Murgh Makhani, as well as a plenty more.
