Nottingham’s Tastees relaunches under new management
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalThe long-established Pakistani curry house Tastees relaunched this week following a complete refurbishment and under new management.
The 120-cover restaurant now boasts a modern interior, a “brand new team”, and covid protocols firmly in place to ensure a safe dine.
While Tastees has been a feature of Alfreton Road since 1986, the family business has now been taken over by the next generation who say: “We want to give that 10/10 service and food.”
Promising an “apna” (traditional) style dining, the menu comprises a variety of starters such as the Fiery Chilli Chicken, their renowned Chicken or Lamb Puri, Papri Chaat, and Masala Chilli Chips.
There’s then Tastees Flaming Grill Selection with their Famous Lamb Chops, Famous Desi Handis, Fresh Karahis which require 40 mins to prepare, and a selection of Dum Biryanis.
But it’s the Chef’s Specialities that perhaps deserve attention with eight different curry dishes to choose from including the Kashmiri Gosht, King Prawn Karahi, and the Chef’s Mix Meat Karahi.
While Tastees offer private booking, they are also part of the government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme with 50% off every Mon-Wed until 31st August.
