Adam Handling’s newly opened The Frog Hoxton offers Halal
HALAL STATUS Halal options available NO LONGER CATERS FOR HALALChef and restaurateur Adam Handling celebrated the successful move of his award-winning debut restaurant The Frog E1 to East End’s Hoxton last week.
For those racking their brains and wondering where they’ve heard that name before, Adam was a finalist on Masterchef The Professionals way back in 2013.
Since then, this exciting young chef has gone from strength to strength. Not only is The Frog Hoxton his largest venture yet, but more importantly offers Halal dishes which, Adam has confirmed with us, are prepped and cooked so as to avoid any cross-contamination.
But with a “menu [that] changes daily”, be sure to phone ahead to find out the availability of Halal.
In collaboration with the location’s Executive Chef Daniel Watkins, Adam has developed a sophisticated menu.
So food such as wood-roasted monkfish with tandoori-spiced butter, and BBQ lamb, olive, courgetti, or his six-course tasting menu (£39) featuring beef, smoked egg, and yeast roasted cauliflower, kimchi, alongside cheese doughnuts and chicken butter, are dishes to look forward to.
With The Frog E1 having won Food & Travel Reader Awards’ ‘Best Restaurant of the Year’ in the 2017, as well as 3 AA rosettes and a Michelin Bib Gourmand, expect carefully sourced, top quality, seasonal ingredients from a chef who’s kindly gone out of his way to cater for the Muslim community.
