The Sushi Bar pop-up opens in Brick Lane’s Band of Burgers
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalPopular gourmet brand Band of Burgers have provided space for a fully Halal sushi bar to take over temporarily in Brick Lane.
But BoB-lovers need not fear since The Sushi Bar will only be occupying the front portion of the premises, restaurant owner Zeeshan has confirmed.
The new pop-up is opening on Osborn Street today and have informed FtLion: “All the Japanese food served is 100 per cent Halal.”
As “part of the exciting, new, innovative and cultural renaissance taking place at the heart of trendy Brick Lane”, the business promises “an experience like no other where Japanese live cooking will transport you to the Far East beyond the boundaries of taste”.
The Sushi Bar says that it will currently be operating “temporary lockdown hours” with orders made via their website available for collection between 3pm till 10pm, or via Uber Eats and Just Eat.
While a menu hasn’t yet been revealed, images of dishes have with items like The Flying Dragon Roll, The Chicken Handroll, The California Roll, The Salmon & Avocado Roll, The Avocado Maki, and an assortment of sushi.
They’ve also revealed The Chicken Katsu Curry, as well as bao buns including The Pumpkin Bao, for mains it appears, with Mango Mochi balls for dessert.
