Tim Hortons opens first Yorkshire restaurant in Sheffield
Our Tims Crispy Chicken and Tims Chicken Tenders are sourced from suppliers whose products are certified as Halal by religious authorities.
Tim Hortons has debuted in Yorkshire with the opening of its 29th branch near Crystal Peaks in Sheffield.
The new drive-thru restaurant is located at the Crystal Peaks Village Retail Park, with dine-in seating for up to 118 guests.
The franchise introduced a pair of Halal items to its menu in 2019, with a spokesperson having informed FtLion: “We don’t promote our restaurants or meat as Halal approved. However, our Tims Crispy Chicken and Tims Chicken Tenders are sourced from suppliers whose products are certified as Halal by religious authorities.”
Clarifying that “the rest of our meat is purchased from EU countries and is not Halal”, the spokesperson added: “The chicken is baked in our restaurants on separate trays. Therefore there is segregation of the Halal certified chicken throughout the process.”
Made with a toasted brioche bun, the sandwich is filled with crispy chicken, green leaf lettuce, sliced tomato, smokey tomato sauce and mayonnaise, while the tenders are served with a dip of choice.
Tim Hortons is also in the process of debuting in Wales with a drive-through store soon to open at Broughton Shopping Park.
As for the Sheffield branch, then delivery options are also available to those in the local area.
