Tim Hortons Sheffield drive-thru & Glasgow Mowgli opening soon

While Canadian brand Tim Hortons announces the opening of its first drive-thru restaurant in Yorkshire, Mowgli Street Food says it will be debuting in Glasgow city centre.

Launching in Sheffield this summer, Tim Hortons confirmed with FtLion last year that its Tims Crispy Chicken and Tims Chicken Tenders were Halal and baked separately.

Located at the Crystal Peaks Village Retail Park, this new 118-cover venue will also have delivery options available to those in the local area following the launch.

Having themselves opened a Sheffield branch in 2019, Mowgli will now be taking over the former Handmade Burger Company premises on St Vincent Street.

Known for offering a Halal food menu with fresh home style cooking, the brand aims to “convey the truth that real Indian food is extremely healthy, often vegan and always packed with fresh flavour”.

With 11 outlets throughout England and Wales, Mowgli Street Food is also planning to open a branch in Edinburgh later this year on Hanover Street.

Its founder Nisha Katona, who gave up a 20-year career as a full time Barrister, opened her first in Liverpool in 2014 and hasn’t looked back since.
