Woksta launches takeaway in Twyford Reading

Fully Halal pan-Asian Woksta launched its third branch last week in Twyford, Reading, with stores already in Slough and Staines.

Located on London Road, Woksta says they are “the best authentic street food in town” who “source ingredients as fresh and local as possible”.

While they don’t offer seating, Woksta informed FtLion: “We’re pleased to confirm our collection and delivery service will continue to operate throughout the lockdown while we continue to follow local government guidelines and restrictions.”

The menu offers ‘create your own’ wok bowls as well as premade with noodle or egg-layered all tossed in a wok base with sauces and mixes and fresh veg.

There’s also Phat Wraps filled with egg fried rice, wok fried favourites with sriracha mayo and sprinkled with fried onion, and Super Sides that include a variety of Prawns such Tempura Panko, Torpedo Breaded, and Mango Chilli.

Woksta’s Twyford franchise head, Shazad Din, was quoted by a local paper as saying: “We realised that there are a lot of small towns and villages which unfortunately, because of online ordering systems, sometimes go without diverse takeaway options.

“People shouldn’t have to go into Reading town centre to get a stir fry and we can’t wait to give the people of Twyford that choice which they might not have had before.”
