The Woodlands in Blackburn teams up with 16th Street today
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalA recently launched burger brand has teamed up with a restaurant and hotel in Blackburn to continue serving its smashed burgers today.
With Covid restrictions having forced The Woodlands to “remain closed for the foreseeable future”, the ‘Meat House’ has allowed 16th Street to make use of its premises over the “next few months”.
The landmark building on Preston New Road said: “We are happy to accommodate this new venture primarily because their burgers are so damn good! Also it always feels good to help out when you can.”
Having launched last month in December, 16th Street’s owner Uwais Bux told FtLion that they will be serving four smashed beef and two buttermilk chicken burgers later this evening at 5pm.
The Woodlands first opened as a fine-dining establishment in March 2019 following a £750k renovation project before joining forces in July of last year with another fully Halal fine-dining establishment, The Great Chase, in London.
Since then, the restaurant has been transformed into a “Meat House” with the menu seemingly having been shifted towards serving premium steaks and other dishes.
About their collaboration, The Woodlands said: “Also it always feels good to help out when you can. Anyway let’s try and get behind this venture and help make them the success they deserve to be. When one door closes and one opens!”
Orders can be placed by calling 16th Street on 01254 447330 and collected in person or directly delivered to customers waiting in The Woodland’s carpark (Uwais confirmed that delivery via Uber Eats will be available from next week).
