L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele

Naples’ L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele Hits the Capital

L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele

The author of the popular Where to Eat Pizza, Daniel Young, puts it on his world’s Top 20 list.

In all its 147 year history, that’s as far back as 1870, its always been located at one site in the heartland of pizza – Naples.

That is, until now. Now the original L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele has opened its second branch and that too in London at 125 Church Street, Stoke Newington.

Having installed a 2300kg pizza oven, and with Marco Condurro, the son of the Director of L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele (Michele Condurro), having come over to make certain the pizzas match their Naples cousins, these pizzaiolis will base theirs around margherita and marinara pizzas as well as adding two specials that will probably rotate from time to time.

So if you want some of the best pizzas in the world, particularly today on National Pizza Day, this might be the place.

Note: Wines are served on site.

Editor: Although not Halal, the ingredients seem to be non-meat based. But, as always, double-check with the restaurant.
