Designed by the one and only Naeem Brisco and his team from @prestigedesignz (nice work guys!), the decor looks great, showcasing our old Leicester from back in the day, and not forgetting the signature decor on the ceiling, which sure looks very cool.
Mother Hubbard’s was first established in 1972 in Bradford. And after many years of success, it has landed here serving classic Fish and Chips, and bringing back the memories of how it used to be served, along with many other items including Kid’s Meals and Pies.
What I had was Fish and Chips, which I enjoyed very much. The batter of the fish was a tad oily and the fish itself could’ve been abit more flakier, but besides that I cant fault it. It was nice golden and crispy.
To go with it I had the mushy peas and curry sauce (£0.95 each per tub), both tasting spot on.
The mushy peas tasted nice and creamy, with a perfect smooth texture, and the curry sauce was very nice and seasoned very well – again perfect texture.
All in all, a fabulicious meal alongside very friendly customer service too. Please note that they currently take cash paymemts only.
They also have chicken available, with everything besides the fish fingers on the menu being made inhouse.
