This is the place “where chocolate gets real” and the place to get your sweet fix during a busy shopping spree.
With a capacity of 48 and an open-plan concept, this decent-sized eatery offers a view overlooking the shops and busy shoppers.
The chocolate and cream-coloured décor fits the theme of the place very well, with the small touches standing out well.
Over Jar’s interactive, touchscreen menu is an innovative and novel part of the experience here, offering unusual mouthwatering drinks, as well as dishes that are certain to pique any dessert-lovers interest.
The Cotton Candy Lemonade was defined by the initial burst of peppermint along with the kick of lemon, which gave way to a fresh minty aftertaste. And while it was uniquely different, we wouldn’t consider it the best option when ordering a chocolate dessert. Thus you may want to opt for something simpler, such as a cold beverage.
A light mix of lemonade, orange juice, lime, mint and pomegranate seeds made up the Pomegranate Mojito, which not only turned out to be a fantastic combo, but one which paired amazingly well with the desserts.
The Fruit Cocktail of orange, lemonade, pineapple, mango and pomegranate syrup, was a sensational blend, with real fruity bits adding that extra twist.
This Caramel Bomb was essentially a vanilla sponge cake with nuts, caramel sauce, and topped with vanilla ice cream, all served in a sizzling skillet.
The cake’s moist, spongey and melt-in-the-mouth texture makes this a more manageable option than the heavier dishes on the menu.
What we enjoyed the most here was the way in which the vanilla and caramel combo was complimented by the crushed pieces of nuts therein.
All that was required was to mix the contents, take a portion of crepe hanging overhead, and get stuck in.
One thing to point out from the offset, however, is that this will definitely get a little sickly sweet after a while.
Perhaps a better option might be to balance things out by offering more fruit to help cut through said sweetness. Having said that though, this was an imaginative take on things, and is bound to impress.
What made this such an interesting one was the textural combination of the soft and crunchy custard-filled profiterole fingers.
Hence, there’s the light and fluffy soft ones, along with their crunchy counterparts.
Topped with your choice of white or milk chocolate, this was certainly one we all preferred, and one which will be a hit with those with a sweet tooth.
An incredibly moist, warm, soft-sponged chocolate delight, with a melted white chocolate interior, topped with chocolate ganache, and sprinkled with flake pieces.
And the scoop of vanilla ice cream accompanying this monstrous memory-maker will most definitely be required to help break up the chocolate momentum.
Unless you’re feeling brave enough to take this on alone, this will easily satisfy the sweet cravings of half-a-dozen. Either way, you won’t be forgetting this in a hurry.

We were also given the warmest of welcomes from staff who were, hands down, some of the best we've encountered in Kuwait. With beaming smiles throughout, they were always on the ready to help by catering for any requests we had, making sure everything was the way we desired, while offering advice where necessary. We couldn’t have felt anymore welcome. As such, we have to say, this eatery beat our expectations by miles!
We really wish we could’ve tried more of the menu; but with the size and richness of some of the desserts enjoyed, you'll need several visits to conquer this dessert parlour.
And there's also a memory wall where one can sign a little wooden jar plaque and contribute to the many memories already left behind by satisfied customers.
