Stagolee’s American South Halal Chicken in FulhamHALAL STATUS Halal chicken cooked separately
South West London was introduced to quintessentially Southern American food today with the opening of brand new restaurant Stagolee’s in Fulham.
With Ashley James at the helm, a Texas native who’s had experience as Sous Chef at the acclaimed Rainbow Room in New York and trained under Michelin Star Chef Tom Aikens, this eatery hopes to deliver a lasting memory of authentic Southern American joy.
Specialising in serving fiery hot-chicken, the restaurant’s unmistakable staple dishes include Skillet Fried Chicken (brined, dipped in buttermilk and fried to perfection), the Hot Spinach Dip (cheesy spinach and artichoke dip) and Baked Macaroni and Cheese (rich and golden brown).
Although Stagolee’s classes itself as a “liquor joint”, not only is “there is no alcohol used in any of the dishes”, but all is chicken fully Halal and “cooked separately from any non-Halal meat or pork on the menu”.
The entire menu has been created from scratch with the aim of ensuring that all the flavours are authentic.
As well as laying their heart and soul into the creation of the menu, the open-hearted, lively and soulful culture of Southern America, is displayed throughout the intimate venue.
